SUPERB!!!!!!!
Releasing the Chains was absolutely a fantastic read, it had me hanging on page by page. I love the writing style of the author, crisp, clean and vivid when weaving her web of words. I usually will pick up a book give it a read and put it down for a bit then pick it back up again. Gibson's book I just couldn't do that with I was so caught up in the story I read it straight through. This book I would recommend to anyone, It's a must buy read. If you're not a Gibson fan now you will be after you read this book.
Creating a Legacy of Forgiveness!
I love what Lisa writes about creating a "Legacy of Forgiveness". So often in my ministry as a Theophostic facilitator I see the walking wounded with some profoundly deep wounds. The transformation after someone transfers the offense to the court of God, as Lisa writes, is very dramatic. You can visibly see the life come back into people after they walk the path to forgiveness. Lisa's book offers real steps and solutions. She does not trivialize the difficulty of forgiving. Reading this book has renewed my hope to be a catalyst for reconciliation as Lisa suggests. I have related to aspects of these stories in ways I didn't expect. I am inspired by Lisa to pay it forward in forgiveness and change future generations.

An eye-opening and inspiring book
Lisa Gibson's book "Releasing the Chains" touched me to the core of my emotions. With all of today's NEWS stories we can easily become numbed to the feelings that the people in her book have felt. They give their stories of how their lives have been changed by the harmful actions of others. But they don't stop there; they go on to tell about their journey to forgive the person that wronged them and in doing so, they find a peace that is not possible when they carry the negative, destructive feelings with them. Though I have not had anyone wrong me to the extent that these people have, I have been able to find that I too have someone to forgive. I want the peace that these people have found. If you do too, you can find guidance in this book to move through the different stages of forgiving.
Compelling Stories to Challenge All of Us
As someone who dealt with issues of forgiving the man who murdered my mother I was interested to see what else I could learn.
