Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards C.M. is a specialist in Family Medicine and public health, highly experienced holder of a EMBA; and a key member of the team for the implementation and leadership of the Parallel Health Care System since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, being recognized by the US Secretary of State for her leadership in this role.

 

She was awarded the Chaconia Medal Gold for meritorious service in Public Health Leadership, in September 2022, and is a passionate philanthropist, who led a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors to establish the “Ray of Hope”, an isolation and quarantine treatment centre for Covid-19 positive wards of the state.

As a business leader, entrepreneur, investor, and presidential candidate, Halla has been dedicated to purpose-driven and principled leadership.

 

Halla was the first female CEO of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce and later went on to co-found an investment firm with the vision to incorporate feminine values and ESG into finance. She also founded and chaired WE 2015, a global dialogue on closing the gender gap.

Kelly Tomblin is the President and CEO of El Paso Electric Company and the leader of multiple key initiatives including the development of a newly envisioned strategic plan, smart metering and automated system technology, transportation electrification, and electric vehicle infrastructure deployment, as well as tripling the utility’s renewable energy portfolio. Under Ms. Tomblin’s leadership, EPE has created a bold plan that is committed to 80% carbon-free energy by 2035 and the pursuit of 100% decarbonization by 2045.

 

She brings over 30 years of experience in the energy industry and has worked worldwide, including in Jamaica’s Public Sector. While most of her work involves operational improvement and public image enhancement, Kelly has been integral in positioning utilities and related industries as leaders in the energy sector by developing new visions and strategic directions crucial to their success.  She was previously recognized as an S&P Platt Global CEO of the Year.

She is widely-recognized as a strong business leader in the Caribbean region, receiving the Caribbean Luminary Award in 2019 by the American Foundation for The University of the West Indies for her contributions in the business community.

Raya Salter is an attorney, consultant, educator, and clean energy law and policy expert with a focus on energy and climate justice. She is the founder of the Energy Justice Law and Policy Center and a member of the New York State Climate Action Council, the body that developed New York's plan to implement its nation-leading climate law. 

 

She is an environmental justice advisor to the House Oversight Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee and has testified twice before congress about environmental justice and big oil misinformation.

 

Raya is an adjunct professor of law at Cardozo Law School and has written widely on energy policy. Her book "Energy Justice, Domestic and International Perspectives" was released by Edward Elgar in 2018. 

 

Raya was named one of the "Energy and the Environment Power 100" by City and State New York Magazine in 2020 and 2021. In 2021 she was honored by New York Lawyers for the Public Interest with the Fishman Access to Justice Award and named a "Climate Hero" by the Human Impacts Institute in 2019.
