Getting Uncomfortable

Diligently doing our part to help take care of those around us AS WELL AS ourselves is a balance many of us don't maintain. That internal void you may be feeling is partially due to a lack of serving others with our time, attention and personalized capabilities.

Putting ourselves out there along with potentially facing sacrifices in doing so takes getting uncomfortable and a solid faith that it's the right thing to do every time and produces eternal rewards.

Being kind, honest and all the rest does not guarantee that potentially hurtful things won't be said about us. Repeating information, no matter how credible, and/or complaining about others is part of the human condition. It's become so ingrained, though, we hardly notice the harm gossiping does big picture.

Planting seeds of doubt against another is a deep betrayal, potentially effecting their entire livelihood based on hurt feelings and generally assumptions.

Admitting we've talked trashed about others and addressing trash that has been spewed about ourselves can be uncomfortable, but everything surrounding this topic is unacceptable and the conversation needs to be had.

This is just one of various episodes that will surely be dedicated to the subject.

Hello and welcome! Thank you for tuning in to Episode 1 of this sure to be groundbreaking podcast, GETTING UNCOMFORTABLE.

I believe it’s important to know your host and I’m nothing, if not absolutely transparent.

So let me tell you a little bit about me: Once again, I am Tara Christine, first & foremost, a deeply faithful Christian, I’ve seen enough rock bottoms followed by the miracles that saved me to KNOW I’m LOVED, FORGIVEN & meant for very big things in my heavenly father’s name. THIS IS WHY I’M HERE.

SECONDLY – A proud mama for nearly 21 years now, my 3 extraordinary not so much children anymore are by far my greatest accomplishments yet. Becoming a mom at 17 was earth shattering in all the best ways, an EPIC JOURNEY of trials and survival in itself. THIS IS ALSO WHY I’M HERE.

THIRD – As a deep feeling, big loving woman who’s only been in heavily toxic relationships (1 of those a marriage), I’m now well aware of the mistakes I made and take full responsibility for my role in the damage done – I truly didn’t know what I was doing. Most of us aren’t specifically taught these things! ANOTHER REASON WHY I’M HERE …

FOURTH – Raising my babies as primarily a single mama, they were my very top priority. I’ve always believed LOVE TRUMPS MONEY, so I opted to back burner a full time career and work more flexible hours in order to BE WITH THEM MORE. Many times were tough, especially tacking on extra court costs & attorney fees to battle crappy divorce and custody hearings. That’s amounted to a 12 YEAR DISPUTE SO FAR. All I really knew until somewhat recently was STRUGGLE. Near hopelessness sometimes. Where there’s a will though, there is ALWAYS a way & leaning into FAITH IS CRUCIAL. YET, ANOTHER REASON I AM HERE.

FIFTH – Tragically the majority of the human population suffers mistreatment or some form of abuse in this lifetime, I’m NO EXCEPTION. But without dwelling there for a single second, on the flip side, I can’t negate that I’ve inflicted my fair share of abuse onto others at times, too. HURT PPL HURT PPL, we’ve all been there. I have both DESTROYED and BEEN DESTROYED, it’s a fact of life for us all. Dwelling on our own injustices rather than accepting & gaining whatever value is provided for the grand scheme only leads to SELF PITY & MISERY, not the Joy & PEACE that IS possible!! Guess what, that’s why I’m here.

Not only is forgiveness of others essential, gracing ourselves with it as well, plus shifting focus toward operating ONLY IN LOVE & considering our neighbor before ourselves IS AS WELL!

SIXTH – That career I put off all those years was inconspicuously flourishing the entire time; each detail of my experiences preparing for this MISSION to walk alongside FRIENDS on their journey to HEALING.

Over the summer, I completed training and certifications in Master Life Coaching & have since been working w outstanding coaches of MY OWN for guidance & support while establishing my practice from scratch, a female entrepreneur in the making .. I can tell you right now & PLEASE MARK MY WORDS – Big things are happening!!
