This story involves a group of friends who exclude another because they think he is useless and a wee bit scary so why take the time to get to know him or her. The group is made up of an elephant, a goat and a chicken. The excluded animal is a small green dragon with black polka dots on its back. One day off they go, leaving the wee dragon behind. But the dragon follows them. Each animal helps the others along the way. When they get tired, the elephant carries them, when they get hungry the chicken lays eggs for them and when they get thirsty the goat gives them milk. Meanwhile the wee green dragon with the black polka dots wishes he could join them. All of a sudden they become very cold and the dragon goes up to them and offers his fire breath to warm them. Now all four friends like each other. 

An ant and a wasp become neighbors. The wasp can’t understand why the ant works so hard to store food and thinks the ant is greedy. The ant tells the wasp that the food is for a rainy day. The wasp takes the ant on one of his journeys to eat food and despite being warned by the butcher to stop eating his meats he continues and loses one of his wings. The ant teaches the wasp a lesson in humility and grace!

A wee mouse wants to go to a festival of cheese and cookies only to be told by her mum that she has to take care of an old and sickly crow. Despite her tremendous disappointment she goes to the crow’s house and makes her what we would call a hot toddy and cleans her house. The wee mouse feels great about herself and a silver coin and a beautiful ring that the crow gives her is just a cherry on top of the cake!

A wee chick can’t tweet like his brothers and sisters and a wise rooster comes up with a plan to make his life a wee bit better.
