UPDATE!!!

Just as this episode was finishing being mastered, I was able to get a PHYSICAL COPY OF "THE PICTURE" that I talk about in this episode!!!  My parents packed up some stuff from my bedroom in our old house and down in the bottom of the box was my copy of Glen Grant's book 'Obake Files:  Ghostly Encounters in Supernatural Hawaii'!  He included the color photo of what he and his students captured that night at Morgan's Corner.

Thank you for tuning into episode 5:  Ghosts of Lahaina

Before we get into the episode, I wanted to give a very special shout out to Sapphire Sandalo for featuring my first episode (The Kona Lagoon Hotel) on her extremely popular podcast, 'Stories with Sapphire'.  Sapphire has been an amazing inspiration as a horror creator (she created the extremely popular YouTube show 'Something Scary', as well as the podcast 'Stories with Sapphire') along with being a huge influence in the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) communities. 

I started Ghostlore of Hawaii because of the lack of representation Hawaii has in the paranormal world. Sapphire has been a proponent of getting the AAPI voice out to the world for close to a decade!  As a fellow AAPI creator in the horror genre, I owe so much to her because "there is so much more to the spirit realm then the white figures (both living and dead) that we see in entertainment. (From Sapphire's website!)"

Imagine how scary (in the best way possible) the world would be by getting exposure to the horror/ghost stories from cultures all around the globe!  I'm rambling....

So back to the episode, tonight, we're travelling to the island of Maui to visit the beautiful beach side town of Lahaina.  Known for beautiful beaches, surfing, shopping, and dining, Lahaina has something for everyone......especially those searching for the supernatural.  

Tales of restless spirits found in locations across the town are still told.  See the section of the old Lahaina Fort that still stands near the large Banyan tree, or tour the prison built back in 1852.  Or, stay at one of the many resorts at the hotel district in Kaanapali, rumored to be haunted.  

That's where tonight's first story takes us, to the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali.  The incident happened to a couple of of my best friends during a group trip to Maui.  The second story, well, just tune in....
