Fort Rodd Hill on Vancouver Island is one of the best National Parks we have and it's also a wonderful spot to catch up with some of the former men who served in the fort from the 1800's until just after World War II.
Join us as we discover the stories with the help of Andrea Bailey from Unearthing Shadows Paranormal and learn more about the energy that has remained and contained within Fort Rodd Hill.
We head up North, far north in to Northern BC where we meet up with Danny, John and Walter who share with us some of their first hand ghost stories and we have some laughs along the way.
The first explorers were tough people and they seem to have made for some tenacious ghosts. Find out more about them on this episode of Ghosts 'N Bears.
On September 29th, 1899, on a dark and stormy night, Agnes made a decision that she would unfortunately NOT live to regret.
It was one of Victoria's most grisly murders in the style of Jack the Ripper and it terrorized the population for many weeks while police struggled to solve the crime....which they never did.
Thankfully there were no more murders in this fashion, but the spirit of Agnes did not remain still and she certainly was not at peace. Join us as we hear the story from a few different angles and possibly even get the unknown killers perspective on this episode of Ghosts 'N Bears.
For over a century it provided economic life to a town, so when it suddenly shut down - as it had many times before - most assumed it would eventually come back, but it didn't. The mill never had anything removed, the chain of new owners just added on and added on to the infrastructure to the point of it being dangerous but it may have added to the massive amount of energy that remains in this abandoned place. Now that it's facing destruction, what will happen to the spirits left behind?
Welcome to Port Alice Mill
Victoria owes a lot to its first citizens and at least three of them are still at home which is now part of the BC Museum. Not only will we learn their story, we'll also learn what they're still up to as ghosts and even witness them in action. Also, there may be bodies that remain in the backyard, which was a bit of a surprise to all of us.
Join us at the very haunted Helmcken House.
The back alley ways of Victoria have never been particularly clean or wholesome places to spend time, but one in particular is where I had my first ghostly experience while leading the Ghostly Walk walking tour, Halloween 2018. At the time, I didn't even realize it was happening until it was over....
Welcome to Helmcken Alley
Join us for our first episode on Ghosts 'N Bears when we head out to the wilds of Victoria, BC and we find ourselves in Helmcken Alley, full of history and of course ghosts and naturally the stories that follow.
