Want some inspiration?  Need to test your boundaries?  Think you're a boss at rolling with the punches?  This is the episode for you.  David shares his trials and tribulations in navigating what most of us take for granted, the task of grocery shopping.  Applying many of the tools that he teaches in the Red Kite Movement FUNshops, creativity, observation and becoming a survivor, not a victim, he keeps a light heart and sense of humor throughout his experience... and comes out not he other end with victory and a great story to boot.  Michelle gets it completely and takes inventory of how many lessons were taught in this mega-episode.   

David's experiences in Croatia get a little twisted as he encounters an unexpected challenge.  Some would run toward the light instead of away from it.  The question is, what would you have done?  Michelle, an ocean away, weighs in with the deep homework.  

David is in hog-heaven and is excitedly settling into his new home in Croatia.  Almost set to the tone of a guided-meditation, take a walk through the first 3 hours of his first full day in Dubrovnik.  It's clear that he's well-rested in contrast to yesterday's podcast and that he's throwing his arms around his new love.  Cat Power is featured and Michelle adds potency to the three-part homework remotely.  

David is rounding third and heading for home, more than 3/4 of his flights complete, he's a bit punchy, jet-lagged and culture-shocked.  With no offense meant by his observations to the nice people of Munich or Germany, David's sarcasm is at an all-time high due to his fatigue and the listeners are the beneficiary to his wit, wisdom and humor.  Michelle adds her two-cents remotely from the states via what sounds like a 1980s satellite uplink LOL.  Auf Wiedersehen!   

David has left the building... more specifically, as promised, he has left the country.  Solo today, David recounts his first test that resulted in his first failure.  HIs love affair with meeting and bonding with people, proved to be too much for his discipline and restraint as the universe delivered Rachael.  But, despite veering off mission momentarily, he has zero regrets.  Podcasting from the Vancouver airport without his mics, which were unexpectedly checked in with his carry-on, he manages to navigate through the chaotic noise that can only exist in a busy airport.  Are you disciplined enough to push play?  

David expresses gratitude as he departs the United States for a minute.  Filling his bucket of "America" before he leaves us, he contemplates many things in his final podcast of the year on US soil.  Michelle weighs in on his mission and is nothing but supportive.  The duo look forward to podcasting remotely from:  Canada, Germany, Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland - to name a few... Nothing but amazing things lie ahead for Gift of the Day, Red Kite Movement and the soon to be released "Go Fly Your Kite, a handbook for the living" book.  

On the eve of his departure to Europe for 3+ months to live and write, David explodes with a very raw and real submission - next level transparency.  This episode opens with a very light and upbeat tone and then gets super dark, super quick.  Michelle makes very astute observations revolving around his unusual and almost disturbing reveal.  This is a true glimpse behind the curtain where David lives.  As an added bonus, if you fancy bad poetry, this one is for you!
