It’s not every day that I get to explore the mind of a film composer who's on the brink of orchestrating his own legacy. Marco Antonini's music isn't just a soundtrack; it's a journey that takes us through emotions, landscapes, and stories.  

The thing that drew me to track Marco down was the response of another guest Dan Carlin , when I asked him ‘Have you ever had someone come through The Thorton film music program that you instantly knew would be successful ‘  and without a pause he said . Marco Antonini.

Marco is someone I’ll be watching in the coming years as he climbs the ladder to a leading coming talent in Hollywood and beyond.

You would recognize Cynda from her breakout role in the acclaimed film "Mo' Better Blues," where she shared the screen with Denzel Washington and some of her over 60 productions.  Personally, I found Cynda an inspiring, hard working example of what it takes to make it in the competitive world of Hollywood.

A large part of my career was composing music for the ad business, and my guest today is Michael Freeman, the Exec Music Producer and music supervisor for Ogilvy in NYC...

Michael does a terrific job of explaining the role of a music producer within the confines of the ad world and shares some things you should think about if you want to do business with him.

He gets to spend quite a bit of his time in the recording studio, working with artists and composers. He licenses music and handles a bunch of administrative work. But hey, he also gets to work with Netflix, Burger King, and a bunch of other global brands, making music happen for cool little tiny :30-second films :)
