Imagine leaving your only child behind to pursue a life of crime, throwing all caution and maternal responsibility to the wind. Most mothers wouldn’t dream of making such a hasty decision of abandonment, but Lovey Malone isn’t the average mother. Her lack of attachment to her daughter as well as her disregard for anything in life that did suit her wishes will create a whirlwind of sordid scenes, mounting issues, and looming danger. Ultimately, lovey will find herself face to face with the past she though she’d left behind.

On the final episode, Colt and Tricey are in for a big surprise when Colt and Brice become friends, and Brice asks for an unusual favor. Lovey's skeletons are all out of the closet now, and she finally has to pay the piper.

Poker! is a screen play set in a shoothouse in New York in the 1930s. The scene depicts five men who are involved in a poker game. The game becomes tense and gets a little too heated, until, it ultimately ends in a tragic event.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Tonight on Girl, Goodnight, we will be reading "One Christmas at Shiloh" written by Paul Laurence Dunbar.

One Christmas at Shiloh is part of a collection of short stories entitled The Heart of Happy Hollow. In the beginning of the story, we meet Martha Maria Mixon, a self proclaimed “Widder lady” who has recently moved to New York leaving behind her no good husband. Upon her departure, she tells him to “seek and he shall find” her once he makes a man of himself. While making regular preparations for Christmas at Shiloh Chapel, Martha receives the greatest Christmas Gift she could imagine.

Tonight on Girl, Goodnight, we will be reading "Sanctuary" written by Nella Larsen.

Sanctuary, is a short story written after Larsen’s second novel in 1930. She was accused of plagiarizing the story using work from a British writer name Sheila Kaye-Smith but eventually won the case. The story introduces us to a woman named Annie Poole who receives an unexpected visitor seeking a rather large favor. Her son’s relationship with the stranger allowed her to grant the favor against her own wishes.
