Today, I’m excited to talk to the inspiring 10-year-old, Chelsea and her mom Candace. Chelsea started a charity that provides art supplies and art lessons to children that have been through trauma to aid in their social-emotional and mental health development because as Chelsea says "Art is A Start!"! I am Jen Landis, founder of Pincurl Girls, and this is the GIRLBRAVE podcast. Today’s podcast is going to be a little different. I led a workshop with a group of girls from Girls Inc. Eureka program. They learned how to create a podcast and how to set up the equipment. They were tasked with naming their podcast, writing the questions and conducting the interviews. Growing up in the US, Janai loved to play soccer. When her family moved back to India, soccer wasn't something girls played. She was determined to change that. Janani won't settle and dedicates herself to change the culture of how Indian girls perceive themselves and the difference it has made in their futures.
