Girls Just Wanna Solve Crimes

Hi, y'all -

Allison and Julie got together remotely to discuss episodes 6 and 7 of Netflix's The Residence. These two episodes were both really great - especially episode 7. I'm looking at you both, Julieth Restrepo and Mel Rodriguez!

Here we are....almost to the end of season one of hopefully several! Please don't open tinned fish in small places!

Hi, y'all -

Allison and Amelia got together to dish about episodes 4 and 5 of Netflix's The Residence. A good time was had by all, but maybe most especially Amelia since she hit the vodka in honor of our queens Nan Cox (Jane Curtain) and Sheila Cannon (Edina Findley). Enjoy!

Hi, y'all -

Allison and Julie got together to discuss episodes 2 and 3 of Netflix's The Residence. They chat clues, motives, and how freaking awesome Uzo Aduba is as Cordelia Cupp. Everyone is getting interviewed now, so we get closer views of all the suspects. And we are all blessed that episode 3 features Bronson Pinchot very prominently. Enjoy!

Hi, y'all -

Girls Just Want to Solve Crimes is BACK, baby! We'll get to Poker Face in a minute, and we can do Murder, She Wrote whenever the hell we want. We have decided to turn our attention to Netflix and Shondaland to talk about The Residence for a minute. Cozy! Funny! Good acting! Great production design! And Bronson Pinchot?!? What have we done to deserve such luxury??

Hey y'all, Allison, Julie and Ruth wrap up the first SeRiEs (season) of Karen Pirie by talking about the VERY VERY GOOD finale. Next up: the two-part pilot of Murder, She Wrote! XOXO- A+J

H, y'all - You can't have part one without part two! Julie and Allison continue their thought-provoking discussion of karaoke (part two of two). It's all because we are SO EXCITED for our live show on September 30th (at the Oasis!), that we're trying to release some wiggles. Lots of Love - Allison and Julie Photo by Alyssa Yung on Unsplash

Hi, y'all - We're posting to all of our content streams for this one, baby! We'll be solving more crimes very soon. In honor of our upcoming Podlander Drunkcast live show/event on Saturday, September 30, 2023, Julie and Allison go deep on karaoke. How much we love it, tips tricks....you name it. It gets pretty philosophical. Part one of two BECAUSE THAT IS HOW MUCH KARAOKE MEANS TO US. Lots of love - Allison and Julie Photo by Kane Reinholdtsen on Unsplash

Hi, y'all - While we are working out schedules to record Karen Pirie episode 3, we decided to just go ahead and introduce Murder, She Wrote to the Girls Just Want to Solve Crimes mix, since we will record an episode about it WHENEVER WE WANT. Allison, Julie, and Amelia discuss season 1, episode 20 - "Murder Takes The Bus." We break it down by categories, characters, plots, and outfits. You know how we do. Please enjoy Rue McClanahan being the absolute best...behind Angela Lansbury, of course. Lots of love, Allison, Julie and Amelia Music Credit: Eric Harper/Tribe of Noise Photo Credit: Peacock

Hi, y'all -

Allison, Julie, and Ruth are back at it again, discussing episode two of BritBox's Karen Pirie.

This one gets dark - skip from 39:50 to 55:08 if you prefer.

The casting department that is responsible for this show are GENIUSES. And all the actors are GOOD. This show rules!

Lots of love,

Allison, Julie, and Ruth

Hi, y'all -

Welcome to the first episode of Girls Just Want to Solve Crimes! Part one of a few on Karen Pirie.

We were inspired by our gal Lauren Lyle to start a whole new podcast dedicated to women solving mysteries. If you have not watched Karen Pirie, please do (it's on BritBox in the US). It is excellent, and when have we ever steered you wrong??

Allison and Julie are joined by Ruth McCormack to chat about the show, and we had a great time. Please enjoy!

Lots of love -

Allison and Julie
