I'm struggling what to write here.  No matter what I write, it won't do Kailey's accomplishments justice.  Saying Kailey is a great wrestler is unfair. She's better than great. She's exceptional!! If you've had the pleasure of watching her wrestle then you know that she's in a league all her own. Undefeated season for 2023/2024. Let that sink in for a moment. Undefeated all the way to being the state champion! The pressure for her had to be immense. She'd never show it though. Her poker face is as good as her on the mat skills. Here's the crazy part.........She's just getting started!! She never even wrestled before high school! We cannot wait to watch her next high school season. Congratulations on an outstanding season!

Yes, Girls Wrestle Too supports the boys also! Logan Redel and Brody Kell are 2 of North Point High Schools baddest dudes! What is in the water at North Point that is producing all these amazing wrestlers?  Brody just placed first at the Adidas Nationals last weekend! The future is bright for these two young men for sure. Can't wait to watch them compete next season for NP!

 4 district titles, 2x state finalist, 4x medalist, winningest girl in Lindbergh Wrestling program history, tied for most wins in Lindbergh Wrestling program history with 163 and the accolades go on and on! Audrey Scherer is what every girl wrestler aspires to be! We've enjoyed watching her in high school and can't wait to see what she does as Grand View University Viking in the fall. The Vikings placed 5th in the NAIA Championship this year with 7 All-Americans. We have no doubt that Audrey will fit right in and continue her wrestling success as a Viking! Thank you, Audrey, for being such a great leader and mentor for so many girls!! You have definitely shown everyone that Girls Wrestle Too!!!

We did this with DK on another podcast a while back.  Thought id share it here. DK is as cool as the other side of the pillow. I've gotten to know him a lot better after this podcast and can attest to the fact that DK is a top notch individual! My favorite thing about him is the way he fights for his wrestlers! If you've seen him in the chair (which is rare cause he's usually damn near on the mat yelling LOL) then you know what I mean.  All of us at North Point love Coach DK. We love our PWA coaches! Ty Purler and Tanner Irwin are the first coaches we could wrangle over here. We'll get 'em all eventually! Ty and Tanner are not only amazing coaches but two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. In case you didn't know, Ty is the son of the man himself, Nick Purler. Tanner is Nick's son-in-law. The family aspect of PWA is one of the things we love the most. So enjoy this episode as we dig a little deeper on two of the finest coaches in the Midwest!

Team Haney in the studio!!!  If you didn't already know these two, Zoey and Madi Haney are twins from Troy, Missouri. Like a lot of twins, their personalities differ greatly.  But one trait that they definitely share is their wrestling skill. Zoey at 100 and Madi at 105, both are fierce competitors and a force to be reckoned with on the mat.  It should be noted that these girls have some super supportive parents. Dad, Bryan, can usually be found filming the matches while mom, Angelique, usually sits in the coaches chair giving encouragement and instruction. Truly a great wrestling family and an asset to the wrestling community!
 Now let's hear their story. We love getting to know all about these amazing young ladies!

 After Reese broke her collarbone during the 2022 wrestling season, we knew we had to find a trainer to not only get her back onto the mat asap, but to make sure that this type of injury didn't happen again. After talking to Jeremy, we knew he was the right man for the job.  It literally would have been impossible for Reese to do as well as she did last season without Jeremys coaching. We are forever grateful for Coach Jeremy! Started as a stranger, now one of Reese's biggest fans and a family friend! I love it when God connects us with the people we need!

Enjoy this podcast as the girls listen to how Coach Jeremy got started, what he likes about training, different training techniques etc. I can't possible recommend Coach Jeremy enough if you have an athlete or if you yourself need some training.

I wonder how many siblings have won medals at state in the same year? How about brother and sister in the same year? I'm guessing not many! Let me introduce you to Zack Tihen, MSHSSA 2024 class 3 126 pound 5th place medalist and Paige Tihen, MSHSSA 2024 girls class 2 105 pound 4th place medalist. Both attend Ft. Zumwalt South High School, Zack a senior and Paige a sophomore. I love to hear the kids talk about their experiences at state.  So cool to see their faces light up when they talk about it.  Lets celebrate these 2 amazing young athletes as we listen to their story.

Class 2 125 lb State Champion, Jena Gumahin, is in the house! This AMAZING Fort Zumwalt South sophomore has quite the resume. 2024 1st in state, 1st in districts and 1st in GAC.  2023 2nd at Thrasher, 3rd at Wonder Woman, 1st at the tiger classic and the list goes on and on! Jena is an amazing wrestler with a bright future for sure! We catch up with the girls before they head off to (where else would they go) The Purler Wrestling Academy. Can't wait for freestyle season with these girls!
