On this weeks episode the boys review Micah's musical recommendation, the progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria. Specifically the albums In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 and Good Apollo I'm Burning Star 4. Fair warning we get VERY off-topic quite a few times during this one, but it is a ton of fun.
On this episode the boys take on a blind recommendation from Thor's wife, Halsey's If I can't have love, I want power. This hour-long film is an adaptation/companion for her 2021 album of the same name. Victorian era attire, pseudo-occult rituals, and a nice touch of full frontal nudity. There's a little something for everyone. Enjoy!
On this weeks episode the boys go over Micah's recommendation, Jupiter's Legacy. This 2013 comic book series from Mark Millar was turned into a short-lived Netflix series that was promptly cancelled within weeks of its release. As Thor finds out the comic series has way more to offer than the the show. If you're into super-powered influencers high on cocaine, and a healthy dose of patricide. This one is for you.
On this very romantic episode of Git Rec'd the boys review the Netflix documentary "The Tinder Swindler". This film focuses on the exploits of professional con-man Simon Leviev, and 3 of the women whom he swindled out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Def swipe right on this one! We promise not to swindle you.
In this episode the boys review Micah's recommendation Death Stranding. This 2019 video game from creator Hideo Kojima, puts players in a post-apocalyptic world where rain makes you age, invisible monsters skulk in every corner of the world, and Earth's only hope rests on the shoulders of a man delivering packages. Load up all you can carry and make sure to avoid the mules, because this one is a lot of fun.
On this very special episode Micah and Thor are joined by their first guests, Zach McCrary (Comics That We Love podcast) and Zach "IMDZ" Bolton. The gang watches a truly insane Nick Cage movie called Prisoners of Ghostland, then sit down and discuss what exactly it is they just watched. No amount of words can describe exactly how weird this movie is so we will let the conversation speak for itself. Enjoy!
On this episode the boys are reviewing Thor's recommendation, Aeon Flux. This avant-garde 1995 animated series from creator Peter Chung, takes viewers for a wild ride through a post-apocalyptic world of sci-fi gadgetry, scantily clad women, and morally ambiguous spy shenanigans.... Yeah its a lot.
Strap in, because Aeon Flux definitely falls into the oddity category.
On this very spooky episode of Git Rec'd the boys review Micah's recommendation "The ParaPod", a 2015 comedy podcast series focusing on real-life ghost stories and hauntings. Disclaimer: Git Rec'd Podcast is not responsible for any spirits, ghouls, or ghosts you may encounter from communing with the dark arts.
On this episode the boys will be going over Thor's recommendation to Micah, 90's hip-hop group Fugees..... also a bit of eggnog chat. Pull out your Walkman and don't forget to feed your Tamagotchi as we take a deep dive into one of the most successful music groups of the 90's.
On this episode of Git Rec'd the boys review Micah's first rec, "The Good. The Bad, and The Weird". This 2008 Korean film mixes the western and kung-fu genres in a intense thrill ride. Cowboy shootouts, slick martial arts action, a search for a mysterious treasure, and oh yeah.... a guy being stabbed to death up his butt! This flick has it all.
