On this week’s episode Wendy and Jaki, (@uniqueny_) chat with three volunteers from the Unemployed Action Campaign.
Blake London, who's been leading protests on the ground in Austin, TX,
Angela Moore, who has been front and center leading the fight in D.C. She participated in a petition delivery of 1.5 million signatures to Congress demanding the extension of unemployment benefits, helped plan a car caravan in protest in the DMV (DC-MD-VA area), and also was present at a rally in front of Majority Leader McConnell's home.
Nikki Buckley, joins in from Portland, OR to discuss her personal story as well as the unrest happening in her city.
Unemployed Action’s campaign mission is to fight for the full $600 in unemployment benefits to be extended for as long as the crisis continues. We are the economy. The economy is workers, families, and communities paying their bills, buying goods and services, and caring for their families.
