In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul uses an extended metaphor to show the negative interaction between body parts. Although humorous, within the text are some directives that we must keep in order to walk together in unity.

Today, we discuss the last 3 of 9 gifts of the spirit - faith, healing, and miracles.

As we began last week, the gifts of the spirit are to be for the common good of the church and are to help propel and empower us to reach a lost world. How does that work with the gifts of prophecy, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues?

The gifts of the Spirit are for today and are for the common good. So...what does that mean? What is the common good? What are the gifts of the Spirit?

We are unashamedly Pentecostal/Charismatic people. We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are for today.

We often don't recognize idolatry in our lives or in the church...and yet, it exists. Idolatry occurs when we take something that is common and we elevate it to a place of sacredness in our lives. What have we allowed to take God's place?

The final room of the Tabernacle of Moses was the Holy of Holies. Here we see the manifest presence of God take up residence. His presence was a priority...as it should be today.

God showed up in a powerful way.

Within the Inner Court, we come across 3 object - the Table of Shewbread, the Golden Lampstand, and the Altar of Incense. These objects direct us to 3 essential spiritual disciplines we must practice in order to draw closer to Jesus.

God gave Moses instructions for making the tabernacle and Moses was instructed to follow every detail because it was divine pattern. God has provided a specific way for us to approach him and within the pattern of the tabernacle, we find some clear directives.
