Why is God so concerned with the poor? Poverty is a symptom of our world's sin-sick, broken condition and he desires people be free. God has anointed and called the church to care for the poor, the widow, and the orphan; however, in America we have allowed the government to take over these charges from us and many consequences have followed.

Is the God of the Christians and the Muslims the same? Is Islam a religion of peace? The media and many politicians would assert that they worship the same God and many of our leaders have argued that this religion is truly peaceful. But what is the truth?

Can marriage be re-defined? Are alternative lifestyles equally viable and healthy? What does God have to say about alternative lifestyles? How ought the church respond in this changing cultural climate?

Are we willing to serve anyone the Lord puts in our path? To be like Christ means to give ourselves away for his cause, not for our comfort.

When does life begin? The issue of abortion has been one of the most controversial of our time. How should we engage this issue as the church? How should we allow it to affect us as we cast our ballots?

As Christians, how should we incorporate our values and beliefs into our civic duty to vote? Is there any biblical grounds for separating our public and private lives? Today, we examine how Christianity and our belief in scripture should influence what we do at the ballot box.

The most basic level of witnessing is simply living out what we believe. Unfortunately, that has proven most difficult as many struggle living out life in a biblical way. One of the greatest enemies towards winning souls is hypocrisy. We must be able to practice what we preach.

The cry for the modern church has been to become relevant within culture. What does that even mean? How does a church realize they have become relevant? In the pursuit of relevance, many churches have fallen into pits either compromising the message of the Gospel, or in laying aside values of the past. How do we truly become relevant?

Far too often, we focus on all the specific little details of our own lives and what God may or may not want for us while we neglect his very clear, stated will - follow me and reach the lost.

One of the greatest challenges facing the local church today is bridging the generational lines that within our own congregations. We must be able to unite and begin speaking the same thing if we desire to be effective in ministry.
