Here at GCC, we always talk about people being on a "walk with Jesus."

So, what exactly does it mean for someone to walk with Jesus?

This week, we talk about how we walk alongside Jesus: in faith, in hope, and in love.

How do we know that our faith is making an impact on others?

Like the parable of the mustard seed, we may only plant small seeds, but they can grow far beyond our imagination.

and expresses his hope for the future of all those who believe and follow Jesus.

In honor of Memorial Day, GCC invited former Army chaplain Daniel Wheat to preach.

We enjoy freedoms everyday thanks to the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our country.

As we reflect on this, Daniel teaches on the apostle Paul's testimony of freedom in Acts 16.

For us to hold on to hope, we need to remain anchored to Jesus- no matter what.

In the book of Acts, we see the apostle Paul caught up in a storm, and his only reaction was to trust God.

When you face a storm, will you anchor yourself to the hope that God alone can give us?

When we fail to see the good things that God has given us, we lose hope in what God is doing in our lives.

That's why we must always remember to be grateful for all we are given.

When there is good in your life, give the praise and the glory for those good things to God - He deserves it!

Sometimes having optimism can be difficult. We often call ourselves "realists," or even "pessimists."

But God designed us to be optimists- sustained by the hope of Jesus Christ.

When we are in Christ, we always have a reason to be optimistic for the future.

How do we carry the excitement of Easter and the hope of Jesus on throughout the year?

How do we hold on to that hope in the challenges and monotony of everyday life?

Micah 6 gives us a simple command to follow - do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.

Jesus told his followers before his crucifixion to stay in Jerusalem until he returned, but two of his followers left to go home.

Even as they were walking the away, Jesus met them on the road, and walked with them until they turned around.

Are you willing to walk with someone and show them the love of Jesus until they turn around, no matter how long it takes?

Jesus Christ has risen from the dead, and is alive today!

That is what Easter is about: the victory of Jesus over sin and death, and His love for us in that victory.

As we celebrate Easter, we take a look at the meaning of God's mercy, and why we have hope in Jesus!
