So funny that I filmed this podcast and literally a few hours later one of my most limited capacities has been initiated for the next month and a half. Because I've done the work getting to know my limited-self I have been able to figure out where my opportunities lie. It can be quite exciting really, a state of being that could make you feel quite negatively about yourself and your circumstance can actually be a way to open doors to possibilities and encourage you down paths of adaptability that you just never knew existed.
We all know people are more likely to leave a less-than-kind comment than a nice one right? Well, this happened to me yesterday and here is my response, to a certain extent!
How often have you been told by someone to "think outside the box"? I always found it was at a time when extreme limitations were being placed by a company and we all knew what we were meant to be doing...wouldn't work. I often found it to be quite a creativity-squashing phrase, not the challenge I think it's meant to be. But I did like thinking creatively inside the box, because let's face it that's the truth of the situation and the façade of space to roam bugged me. And you will often find this happening within your small business, micro business, passion business, however you identify your business.
So in this episode, we talk about this and the video footage is of b-roll footage or should I say, glimmer-picking pictures as I am completely obsessed with filming and photographing any glimmers throughout my day. I hadn't been able to sit down and film but I did have the ideas and I did want to make sure I still spoke up with my voice, I wanted to make sure I didn't lose the consistency of my Podcast, though I am moving the publishing day from Monday to Wednesday. So I found a way to work inside the box creatively.
The most important thing about elevating your business is that it's you. That you are creating something that makes you shine on the inside because your audience will know if you're not being authentic to yourself.

Thank you so so much you beautiful humanbean x
In this episode we chitchat about being raw, unedited and how this is the way for me to feel truly authentic in my delivery. This is what works for me, but what works for you? And I talk about a bit of a running joke we have in The Collective about #crotchjewellery and how doing polished videos etc isn't always an accessible thing to do!
So I finally get passionate talking about glimmers, what they are, where the term came from (Deb Dana) and how you can use them within your life in general and your passion business (small businesses).
Maybe today's episode is a little controversial. Maybe it will ruffle some feathers but, the point is to illustrate that not everyone does business in the same way. For many passion business owners we are creative and by being creative we are natural explorers, and the idea of having to be an expert and fitting yourself, and your clients, into a neat little box is disheartening and jarring. I know it certainly makes me feel that way and has made me feel "lesser" in my business journey because I just don't work that way, and I don't want to!
In this episode, we talk about those pesky things called to-do lists, and how they're not always the best thing to get you being productive... in fact, they can be the complete opposite! We don't always operate on the same level every day so working to your most limited capabilities means you'll always be winning!
