The Issue
As a parent, I've seen firsthand how inappropriate content on YouTube Kids affects children, including my own. This isn't an isolated issue; many other parents and guardians share my concern. Our children's psychological health is at stake, with numerous cases of mental distress linked to inappropriate videos slipping through filters on Youtube Kids. Furthermore, the existing system lacks sufficient parental control over accessible videos. It's time for a revamp.
We are calling for stricter content moderation to reduce the risks of unsuitable content reaching our children. This is not only a matter of child safety but also of fostering healthier online environments. Furthermore, we propose the introduction of Parent-Kid Collaborative Playlists, a feature that would give parents more control and create a more personalized and secure viewing experience for children.
We strongly urge the YouTube Kids team to take our concerns into consideration and work towards making YouTube Kids a platform we can trust again. Our children's mental health and wellbeing are too important to be compromised by inadequate safety measures and content policies. Please sign this petition and help us make YouTube Kids safe and educational once more

We propose:
1. Stricter content moderation: Ensure algorithms catch inappropriate videos before they reach kids.
2. Parent-Kid Collaborative Playlists: Allow parents and kids to curate playlists with approved videos, promoting learning and safety.
