Before becoming invisible in the advertising world, Rene Huey-Lipton built global brands, worked on presidential campaigns, and collected Gold Effies and Gold Lions. A strategist, speaker, and arch nemesis to bullshit, Rene wrote My Authentic Voice after doing the work herself, to help other women stop performing and start showing up as themselves. She founded The Women's Economy — a movement built on one idea: you can't control a woman who controls her own money. And she's currently in pre-seed on Stopapp, a proximity-based safety app for women, because apparently she needed another way to be inconvenient to the status quo. Luckily for us, she agreed to bring her “dangerous voice” to this episode of Glitter, Grit, and Growth.

The 2026 International Women’s Day theme is Give To Gain. It’s a campaign that encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration. Give To Gain emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise.
