Paul dominates this long episode by ranting about Libya and the US's role in its destabilization. Paul's main point is that the foreign policy dweebs in DC are too smart for to be blind idealogues and must actually be liars. Their primary job is to launder the tactics and brutalities of military intervention as honest attempts to spread democracy and liberate the world from tyranny as exemplified by a pentagon analyst's article. The nerd-ification and bureaucratization of empire is the banality of evil used to justify immoral violence.  
 

The two continue their argument about Afghanistan and then debate the general practice of US sanctions. Calls for genocide in India reveal a frightening political reality.
