I have a dream, as Martin Luther King Jnr said. But my vision is for a better Nigerian Society. A society that will see the inflow of diasporans like the Jews came back to their homeland. A Country that will have economic recovery at a rate fast enough to be the envy of other nations. Every tongue and tribe in the geographic space called Nigeria will have one hope, destiny, and future to behold, where love for one another will thrive and flourish—a place of prosperity and God's land where everything will be possible.

There are many unsung heroes in this world. Many regular individuals do extraordinary, fantastic, and wonderful things to advance humanity's course that are not known or appreciated for their great works. One such individual is my good friend, who turns 60 on November 16, 2022. Yinka, Happy Birthday to you. May the good Lord add days to your days and years to your years.

As a Yoruba boy, the language and culture taught giving respect to elders, people in positions of authority. It teaches the values of hard work and patience, and resilience. As  I pondered on all these, I got reminded of the powerful Yoruba poem, "Ise ni Oogun Ise."

Obasanjo is a rare-bred Nigerian. He is a man you cannot just ignore, friend or foe. My evaluation of him is that he is a Pan-Africanist and unapologetically Pan-Nigerian. I also found him to be a brave and down-to-heart individual.
