In clear terms, accent gives everyone away. Although some people have the gift and the ability to change how they talk flawlessly to adapt to the host community or environment, I do not have such a gift. Accents are inherent and primarily affected by where one grows up. Merriam Webster dictionary defines accent as "a distinctive manner of expression: such a way of speaking typical of a particular group of people and especially of the natives or residents of a region." So, it then means that it has nothing to do with intellect, wisdom and makes some superhuman or less.
In other words, one should expect various accents from place to place, country to country, tribe to tribe, as it is just another tongue that is different and peculiar to people. And so, next time we meet people who talk in another way than us, let us keep in mind that the way they sound unique and different is the same way we sound foreign to them. Therefore, we need to accept one another's uniqueness and let that not make us fear, suspect, or misjudge ourselves because it is just another tongue.
