There are about 500 believers among the Parkari Kohlis; pray that the Lord will raise up many of them to joyfully go to their neighbors and disciple them in His ways.

A missionary writes, “Khatu was a strikingly beautiful Sindhi Meghwal woman, but she was oppressed by demonic spirits and beliefs that Satan had brought into her life. The only gods she knew were angry and hateful. One day she put her faith in Jesus. She was the first woman believer among her rejected and lost people, the Sindhi Meghwals." Pray that the Holy Spirit will touch the hearts of many men and women among this people group so that they will follow Jesus.

A missionary writes, "People from the Vagari tribe near Karachi told me that it was right to worship the sun for it had great power over us and gave life to everything on earth. ‘Who made the sun? The sun was created.’ They did not have an answer for that. There are 20,000 Vagaris, and the only believers are from one family.” Pray that this family will lovingly teach others the way of the One who created the sun they worship, the same God who sent Jesus to die to pay for their sins.

Sikandra overheard a missionary talking about a strange new God; He accepted Christ and boldly won his extended family to the savior. His own people, the Marwari Khadali, rejected him. Pray for a disciple-making movement to spread like wildfire throughout Marwari Khadali communities today.

Pirs control every aspect of a Hindu’s life, whether social or spiritual. People live in great fear of them and their power. Pray this bondage of the pirs will be broken so people will be free to hear and accept Christ.

Because of caste barriers, they will not accept anyone from the outside. When I first went to one group, they ran in fear believing I was a “white god” and, of course, gods only come to destroy people. Pray for low caste Hindus to be introduced to the God who loves them as a father loves his children.

The caste system is Satan’s biggest stronghold controlling the Hindu people, keeping them from coming to Christ. Caste determines your social contacts, your spouse, your occupation, people with whom you can eat, and it sometimes even restricts to whom you can talk. Pray for the Lord to help low caste Hindus to find their worth in Christ, the lover of all nations.

In 1947 West and East Pakistan were carved out of what was then India. Muslims were to migrate to either West or East Pakistan, and Hindus were to go to India. In the process, Muslims and Hindus killed each other. The Hindu groups we are praying for this month were stuck in what is now Pakistan. Pray for the Lord to protect the Hindu peoples in Pakistan who are vulnerable to exploitation and violence.

The oldest known community in the Himalayan Mountains of Kashmir are the Pohul people. They are shepherds, the oldest occupation in that region, they are quite small, numbering only about 3,200. They are unengaged as well as unreached, so no one is involved in reaching out to the Pohuls with the gospel. Their rural, remote lifestyle is an obstacle in reaching them. Pray that God will put it on the hearts of Indian believers to bless and disciple the Pohul community.

Do you like Indian food? The Muslim Waza people are given high status because of their excellent cooking abilities but they have not yet heard about the one who came to elevate them to an exalted status as beloved children of God and members of His kingdom. Pray for a Holy Spirit infiltration into their communities so that they can experience God’s love and His tender guidance.
