Koh Young launch four new inspection systems, built on the Zenith platform. The Zenith Nova UHP (Ultra High Performance) is fitted with a 25 megapixel camera offering a larger FOV.The Zenith UHS is built to handle tall parts, connectors, caps etc. up to 60mm high.The Zenith DS is a double sided 3D inspection system that increases throughput.

Chris Dayney describes the difference between the NXTR-R which means revolutionary and incorporates the famous autonomous robot that supplies feeders to and from the line.The NXTR-S is a standard version of the NXTR platform, but without the robot.Dayney also discussed the Aimex standalone pick and place platform for small- to mid-range manufacturers who need a highly flexible system on a smaller footprint.All systems integrate with the NEXIM software platform.

Mark Curtin reveals some of the latest improvements and upgrades to the Transition Automation family of squeegee blades, holders and paste retainers.Mark also demonstrated the ProTek 2900 (formerly known as the Squeegee Buddy) which now incorporate retractable legs for ease of use on the factory floor.

Don Morgenson describes the new LT150 rework system which can handle packages up to 150mm x 150mm. It is targeted at the data server market, where they typically have large BGA devices.

Mycronic introduced the new Generative AI system on the MyPro I51 AOI inspection system to the US market. This feature enables the majority of boards to create an algorithmic program in around 10 minutes. The software is backewards compatible with existing AOI systems in the field.Mycronic have also introduced a new ejector into the MyPro Jet Printer that can dispense down to 180 micron dot size to accommodate the large BGA devices.

Richard Osborne discussed the new QX1 AXI system. Designed to inspect the large server boards with large, heavily shaded parts.Vitrox also manufacture a range of automation systems with their V9 collaborate open-air robot which can be configured for a range of tasks within the production line. The system is complemented by an industrial robot, which operates in a protected, enclosed space, but can operate at a much higher speed than the open-air robot.

Don Dennison gives his takeaways from APEX 2026. The highlight was the US debut of the Keiron Technologies LiFT printer. Many of the visitors were interested in AXI and other forms of inspection equipment.

Ivan Romo from SMarTsol announced a new relationship representing Koh Young in Mexico.North of the border, SMarTsol is opening a new demonstration and training center in Dallas, Texas around the end of June.SMarTsol is also opening a procurement office in Taipei, Taiwan.

Conlan Verbenetsky describes the new, automated storage tower that integrates into the automatic materials handling suite of machines. The tower accommodates up to 2,000 8mm reels.
