May 16 – Regulatory Reform – Madison Coalition

We join the Madison Coalition and National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for a roundtable discussion on the Regulation Freedom Amendment. The Regulation Freedom Amendment would end "regulation without representation" by permanently requiring that major new Federal regulations be approved by Congress. The Amendment would curb the power of Washington regulators to re-write the meaning of laws without the consent of Congress. The Amendment has been endorsed by a bipartisan group of more than 1,000 State Legislators, 7 Governors, and former Governors, including Mike Pence.

May 12 – LIVE on location – Western Pathways

May 11 – Edgar Johansson – Aerospace Advocate

Edgar Johansson, COBRT Aerospace Advocate, joins us to discuss progress in Colorado’s aerospace industry. His first Dr. Erin Griggs PlanetiQ’s Senior Space Mission Designer. PlanetiQ is a Boulder-based space start-up formed to build, launch, and operate a commercial constellation of weather satellites. Joining us by phone will be Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences professor, Dr. Fran Bagenal. Dr. Bagenal will be giving us an in depth look at Jupiter and Pluto. 

May 10 – Ali Noorani – Immigration

Jeff Wasden, President of COBRT joins us to talk about immigration along with Ali Noorani, Executive Director of the National Immigration Forum and author of There Goes the Neighborhood. Ali has broadened the Forum’s focus to include a creative alliance for building a better future for immigrants in America.

May 9  – Rebecca Laurie – Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies

Tim Villarosa from DORA's Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC) joins Rebecca Laurie, Director of Communications for DORA, to talk about how OCC serves as an advocate for utility rate payers, including small business owners, during utility rate proceedings before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Tim will also address some tips on how you can save money on your energy bills.

May 8 – Pat Maley – Vistage

Vistage is a CEO Peer Group for business executives. Pat Maley, Vistage Chair, introduces us to CEO Peer Group members, chairs and speakers. His guests include Vistage Chair Marc Wallace who will bring CEO of RGL Forensics, Angela MacPhee, and Matthew Turner, Managing Partner for MorningStar Senior Living Facility. May 5 – Peter Moore – VITAL for Colorado

Jon Eckstrom joins us from VITAL for Colorado along with Porter Bennett from  Ponderosa Advisors. We’ll discuss Porter's career working in oil and gas analytics, his current work with Ponderosa Advisors, and the future of oil and gas in Colorado.

We’ll check in with Jim Salestrom, a close friend of the COBRT show. Jim is an Emmy Award-winning musician who has toured the world, making friends and connections everywhere he goes. We’ll talk with Ken Miller, Director of Entertainment at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.
