hebrews 4 exemplifies the power of rest through persecution. that Christ’s whole heart is what gives us rest not this world nor anything of this world. we must give our whole hearts when it seems like our hearts are in pieces. as yours is in pieces His heart is whole & completes ours. let Him fill your broken heart.

let’s be honest. it’s not easy. struggling, hardships, following God, life. it’s all not easy. psalm 119 shows us how to turn to God when it’s not easy. to remain faithful in His word & to trust Him when you can’t even trust your feelings. you can help people encounter Jesus even when you don’t feel Jesus. it’s not easy but neither was dying for YOU. His love is greater than it all. even when it’s not easy.

psalm 116 & job 19 provide a truth behind surrender. it’s from a servants heart. i want to ask you are you surrendering to God or this world? it is easy to act like you are surrendering from afar but what is your motive to surrender? when we surrender it is like a trust fall. we must complete trust & surrender ALL. not holding onto certain things. are you willing to give it all up for God. what are you holding onto. let God have it all tonight.

to love God we must strive to fear God & keep His commandments. the city of Jerusalem disobeyed God & went their own way & the book of Lamentations exemplifies the truth & agony of disobedience. how can we deal w/ times when we disobey & fall into temptation? fear God. &. keep His commandments.

throughout Ecclesiastes we see the truth abt this world, it is vanity. it deceives us & tells us what we should want. friends all we NEED is God so is all you WANT God? this is a hard thing to think abt even when our flesh wants something Christ is way more worth it.

the book of Job lays out the truth within hardships. we CAN trust God. that even when we are tired & want to quit we can surrender it all to God. it is ok to struggle but we must lay it down to God. let Him take it all just like Job did. i am tired so He is my rest. i am tired so He is my strength. i am tired of messing up yet He still loves me. let Him be yours just like He was Jobs. let’s dive into these chapters to truly understand how to deal with the thought of “I’m tired”.

James chapter 3 talks about the abuse we do with our tongue. we constantly taint the image of others & Christ through our words & actions. the boundaries we must set are God. it’s not about the boundaries but about pursuing God. the book of Ecclesiastes shows how things can also be tainted by our words, actions, & materials. we should dive into a relationship w/ God to encounter a friendship w/ another.

looking through Malachi 1 we see the Israelites giving sacrifices from their hands not their hearts. they don’t truly mean what they’re giving to God. as we read we see the filth of our hands but the purity of a heart for Christ. seeking to have a heart posture towards Christ & letting Him use us as a living sacrifice. ITS SCARY & HARD but it’s worth it. our souls need God but our flesh deceives us & tells us we need more of the world. let God fill your heart.

as we look into Luke 22 & John 19 we see an unconditional Love. a Love greater than any condition. a Love that overcame ALL conditions. this is, the Love of God.

looking through Deuteronomy 29 & 30 we identify obedience. connecting this to what Jesus had to say about obedience in John 14. obedience & love are one together. to love you must obey God. to obey God you must love Him.
