Today’s podcast is all about choosing to give up an addiction to a medication that was prescribed to me at the age of 15 to treat “ADHD,” a diagnosis I now question, but that’s for another podcast.
The reason I am choosing to share this podcast isn’t to trauma dump or dwell on my past- in fact, the struggle has brought em a sense of grit and unstoppably I wouldn’t trade for the world.
But rather I am sharing this story with the hopes of helping others.
This episode is dedicated to my past self. When I was in the lows of withdrawals and dealing with the shame/guilt/regret that comes from years of poor choices, a sentiment that got me through was the promise to self that when I am get other side, I will share what I have learned with the world - dramatic I know, but it worked.
In this episode I share about my story of addiction involving adderall, alcohol, and eating disorders. I discuss when I decided to make a change and what the journey has looked like
The 12 steps were not my jam, so I created my own tool kit I titled “10 Daily Tools To Get Your Shit Together.”
I hope this episode can be helpful. Thanks for listening <3
