Weingärtner sammelt seit über 20 Jahren sämtlichen Schrott, Kleinstinventar und sonstigen Krimskrams, den andere wegschmeißen oder den man auf der Straße findet. Er zerlegt ihn, sortiert die Stücke kategorisch und baut aus dem neuen Sortiment wiederum abgefahrene Figuren und fantastische Wesen. Bei unserem Besuch auf der ZENIT Ausstellung war er leider nicht vor Ort, wir haben aber ein Telefoninterview mit ihm geführt, bei dem er von seiner Sammelleidenschaft und dem kreativen Rekonstruieren berichtet.
