Three inches of low density snow fell yesterday in the Bridger Range, 1” in Hyalite and the Madison Range, and a trace in the Lionhead area and around Cooke CIty. West and southwest winds have been blowing 20-30 mph with gusts of 45-60 mph. These strong west and southwest winds will continue today. Temperatures this morning are in the single digits and teens F. High temperatures will be in the teens and low 20s F. Snow showers will start this morning and pick up overnight, favoring the southern portion of the advisory area. By tomorrow morning, expect 4-6” around West Yellowstone and Cooke City with only a trace to 1” around Bozeman and Big Sky. Snowfall will continue tomorrow.

Over the last two days, 11” of snow fell near Cooke City, 5-8” near West Yellowstone, and 1-2” near Bozeman and Big Sky. Winds are 5-10 mph out of the west with gusts of 15-25 mph. Temperatures this morning are in the single digits F and will only rise a few degrees today. Winds will be 15-25 mph out of the west. The sun will poke out today, but there is also a chance for light snow showers. More significant snowfall is forecast for tomorrow into Sunday.

Yesterday morning there was 7” of new snow in the Bridger Range, Big Sky area and Cooke City. Other areas got 3-4” with amounts dwindling to an inch outside West Yellowstone. Since then, west to southwest wind increased to 20-30 mph with gusts of 50 mph. Temperatures this morning are near 20F and will reach 30F, but cool into the teens tomorrow. Winds will continue to be strong today and taper off this evening. By tomorrow morning a trace to 1” of snow is expected with Cooke City getting 2”.

Saturday night into Sunday morning it snowed 1” in the Bridger Range, 2” near Big Sky, and 5” in Hyalite. The rest of the advisory area stayed dry. Winds are 15-25 mph out of the west with gusts up to 35 mph. Similar winds will continue today, likely increasing in strength Tuesday into Wednesday. Temperatures are in the single digits and low teens F this morning. Temperatures will be in the teens and 20s F through mid-week. Snowfall will begin this afternoon, favoring Cooke City. By the time the storm ends tomorrow morning, expect 6-8” around Cooke City and 2-4” elsewhere. Another round of snowfall is on tap for Wednesday.

On Monday night the mountains got 3-5” of snow in Hyalite and Big Sky with 1-2” elsewhere. Since Tuesday, temperatures have been generally above freezing reaching 40s and 50s F, and wind has been southwest at 15-25 mph with gusts of 50-60 mph. This morning temperatures are mid-20s to low 30s F and wind is westerly at 10-20 mph. Today temperatures will reach high 30s to low 40s F with westerly wind at 10-20 mph. Wind will increase to 30-40 mph through Saturday and continue through Sunday with gusts of 40-60 mph expected. Saturday night, 1-3” of new snow could fall as temperatures drop to the teens and low 20s F by Sunday morning.

Only an inch or two of new snow fell over the last two days. Moderate southwest to northwest winds have been gusting to 35-50 mph. This morning temperatures in the Bridgers have risen into the high 30s and 40s F, while the rest of the advisory is in the teens and 20s F. Temperatures over the weekend will be in the 20s to high 30s F under partly cloudy skies with moderate southwest-west winds. There may be a sprinkling of snow tonight, but the next chance for real accumulation is towards the middle or end of next week.

By Saturday morning 10” of snow fell in Hyalite with 4-7” everywhere else. It’s been clear since then, but windy at the ridgetops, especially around Bozeman. Yesterday, gusts approached 50 mph from the west and blew 10-20 mph over the weekend. Temperatures were mostly below freezing during the day and teens at night.

This week will be mostly dry other than a chance of 1-2” of snow falling Tuesday night. Winds will remain gusty out of the west through the early week. Mountain temperature will reach into the 40s today and cool the rest of the week with highs near freezing and lows in the teens.

Since Monday morning, a trace to 2 inches of snow has fallen across the advisory area. Temperatures cooled dramatically on Monday, getting down into the single digits F and staying below or near freezing for the rest of the week. Strong winds have been out of the west and southwest.

Snow will begin today and continue overnight. Expect 3-5 inches of new snow around Bozeman and Big Sky, 2-4 inches around West Yellowstone and 1-3 inches near Cooke City before snowfall tapers off tomorrow morning. Temperatures over the weekend will range from the low 20s to high 30s F. Skies will clear tomorrow and stay clear on Sunday. Winds will be moderate out of the southwest and west.

Last night, 5” of snow fell in Hyalite with 2-4” near Big Sky and the Bridger Range and zero elsewhere. Temperatures are single digits to low teens F (fifteen to twenty degrees colder than yesterday morning). Overnight, wind was west to northwest at 10-20 mph with gusts of 25-35 mph. Today wind will decrease to 5-15 mph as it shifts to the north and then east. Skies will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 20s F. Light snow showers are possible today with 1-2” near Cooke City and maybe an inch elsewhere.

This morning, there is no new snow, temperatures are upper teens to low 30s F and wind has been west-southwest at 15-25 mph with gusts of 35-45 mph. Today wind will be west-southwest at 20-35 mph and temperatures will reach mid-30s to low 40s F under mostly clear skies. Cloud cover will increase later in the day with a chance for rain this afternoon and 1-2” of snow tonight.
