Chopin composed his best-known Nocturne in E♭ major, Op. 9, No. 2 🎼 when he was around twenty years old. This well-known nocturne is in rounded binary form (A, A, B, A, B, A) with coda, C. It is 34 measures long and written in 12/8 meter, having a similar structure to a waltz.
The A and B sections become increasingly ornamented with each recurrence. The penultimate bar utilizes considerable rhythmic freedom, indicated by the instruction, senza tempo (without tempo). The nocturne opens with a legato melody, mostly played piano 🎶 (quietly), containing graceful upward leaps which becomes increasingly wide as the line unfolds. This melody is heard again three times during the piece. With each repetition, it is varied by ever more elaborate decorative tones and trills. The nocturne also includes a subordinate melody, which is played with rubato.

Antonio Vivaldi made several versions of his G minor setting of the Magnificat canticle. He scored his best-known version, RV 610, for vocal soloists, a four-part choir, oboes, and string orchestra 🎼, which also exists in a version for two groups of performers (in due cori, RV 610a). He based these versions on an earlier setting for voices and strings only (RV 610b) 🎶. His ultimate version, in which some choral and ensemble movements are replaced by five arias, to be sung a cappella by girls from the Ospedale della Pietà orphanage, was cataloged as RV 611. ==================== 🎵 Classical music brings us into communion with the ineffable that is not of time and is ETERNAL! Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor 🎶 (WoO 59, Bia 515) for solo piano, commonly known as "Für Elise" (German: [fyːɐ̯ ʔeˈliːzə], transl. For Elise), is one of Ludwig van Beethoven's most popular 🎼 compositions. It was not published during his lifetime, only being discovered (by Ludwig Nohl) 40 years after his death, and may be termed either a Bagatelle or an Albumblatt. The identity of "Elise" is unknown; researchers have suggested Therese Malfatti, Elisabeth Röckel, or Elise Barensfeld. ==================== 🎵 Classical music brings us into communion with the ineffable that is not of time and is ETERNAL!
