  • Episode 11: Restoring Life Through Discipleship
Addiction, jail time and recovery are all terms most of us have heard, but many wonder how discipleship can have an impact in the midst of them. Restore 6:34 Ministries is actually in the trenches with women coming out of incarceration ... healing and restoring them through ahavah (love in action) and teaching them how to be talmidim (learners of Christ). Discipleship takes time, effort and lots of love! Restore 6:34 provides a live-in program that puts Christ first through word and deed to extend the hope and help only He can fulfill.
Join Chandalee and Jenn today as they talk with Donna Dean, one of the Directors at Restore 6:34 Ministries. Looking for a way to make a difference? Click here to volunteer, donate or contact Restore 6:34.

  • Episode 04: Apologetics – Learning to Chew and Spit
Do you ever get asked hard questions about Jesus or your faith … and not know the answers? Us, too!! This week's guest, Heather Johnson, says it happens all the time. AND, from her elementary-aged kids of all people! Because of the questions, she realized she needs to be a good student (a good talmidah) of Jesus and the Bible. Her kids, coworkers, friends, etc., are all searching for answers. In the search for answers to her kids' questions, Heather has sought out resources that don't just give memorized phrases but instead lead to discussion(s). Listen in to the chat about apologetics in our every day, running-around lives as we're all learning how to chew and spit*!

Last week, Chandalee and Jenn recorded their conversation introducing apologia and apologetics. You may view that video on YouTube or goandequip.com. They'd love it if you Subscribe to and Share the blog and podcast with your friends!

Resources: In the podcast, a few resources are mentioned. These websites and books are great starting points if you're just getting your feet wet in apologetics or if you're wanting a fresh look at how to engage the culture.

Check these out: MamaBear Apologetics (get the book here) and Natasha Crain (view her books here).

*Chew and Spit is a phrase we learned through the book MamaBear Apologetics
