This week the Erins take it back to the late 80's with” White Boy” on Netflix. Richard Wershe Jr. was given a life sentence for possession of eight kilos of cocaine in 1988. While the ‘lifer law' in Michigan was modified in 1998, Wershe Jr. was still denied parole years later. White Boy Rick's story was pervasive in pop culture but the real story reveals a 17 year old kid set up for failure by authorities and a sensationalized trial.
