Discipleship Points: Recap of points from last program (1) Meditate on the Word; (2) Benefits of meditating on Word; (3) Those rebuilding the law are transgressors; (4) Establish our-selves on Jesus's payment and on God's grace. Other ministries taught on the same, confirming them. Salvation needs to be properly understood as a wrong focus brings much self-effort, condemnation, & judgement. As we taught earlier, another ministry confirmed our spirits are perfect while our soul and body must be renewed & controlled.

Discipleship Points: Jesus was wiser than all His teachers because He continually meditated on the Word; today's scriptures emphasize that believers meditate on the Word and the benefits thereof. From Galatians 2, Paul shows Christ is not the minister of sin for trusting in grace alone; the real transgressor is s/he who brings back the law; and if righteousness comes through the Law, Christ died in vain.

Scriptures Reviewed: Rom. 12:1-2; Heb. 6:4-6; Gal. 2:2-14, 5:1.

Discipleship Points: Salvation through Grace and keeping the Law cannot be yoked; Christians cannot lose salvation; Only very mature believers can renounce or give away their salvation, explained in Heb. 6:4-6; Peter and others in scripture were caught up in legalism or at least in fear of Judaizers at times; Believers are wise to know doctrine and truths so they can share with others, especially those in other religions or cults and those caught up in legalism.

Scriptures Reviewed: Ex. 24:7-8; Heb. 10:1-14; Rom. 8:21; Gal. 4:24-25, 30-31, 5:1; Heb. 2:14-15.

Discipleship Points: Sacrifices never perfected; God did not desire sacrifices nor had pleasure in them, so the old faded to establish the new. Christ's death fulfilled God's will, His offering perfected believers FOREVER. We cannot be equally yoked to the law and to Christ's death. Rather than live in bondage to works, performance, the law, we are to stand fast in liberty.

Discipleship Points: God is merciful to our sins and errors; Salvation is not lost/taken away; He does not withdraw nor distance Himself; He stills answers prayers, etc. Under the Old Covenant, sins were covered, not forgiven; a one-time, permanent answer was prophesied, Jesus. In the New Covenant, God writes His laws on our hearts, so we focus on the Spirit, which gives life, and not on the letter of the law, which reveals sin and demands obedience.

Scriptures Reviewed: Heb. 7:26-27, 8:12, 9:11-12, 9:15, 10:10; Eph. 1:7, 13; Rom. 5:9-10, 18-19, 21; John 10:27-29.

Discipleship Points: Many teach Christians may go to Hell or lose fellowship with God due to sins/mistakes. These teachings often leave believers insecure, worried, guilty, or with feelings of falling short or not being enough. Today's program shows anyone born again has eternal salvation, eternal redemption, are reconciled to God and made righteous!

Scriptures Reviewed: Prov. 10:11-13, 17:9, Eph. 4:32, Heb. 8:12.

Discipleship Points: Caring believers cover and not repeat sin, gently restore others. All believers have the essentials in common (salvation by grace through Christ, Trinity, Bible is God's Word/is inerrant, etc.) so attacking others re: non-essential doctrines is WRONG and not biblical. Manny recounts how someone "put him down/said he would not be much" and the hurt caused...as well as how God redeemed and has used him.

Scriptures Reviewed: John 8:1-11 (story reference), II Cor. 3: 6-9, Matt. 26:31-32, John 21:15, Luke 19:1-10.

Discipleship Points: We are to treat other believers with love and concern, and not condemnation. The Pharisees exposed the woman caught in adultery, condemning her. Jesus did not condemn her, showing how God treats us under the New Covenant. Another example is though they scattered as He went to the Cross, Jesus did not condemn Peter and the disciples. And Jesus said not a word to a corrupt tax collector, but Zacchaeus still repented.

Discipleship Points: The Bible lists how believers are to treat other believers. It is easier when we know we are ministers of the New Covenant, seeing believers as the new men and women they are, and when we know we are the ministers of reconciliation, to impart life to others and not condemnation. Jesus treated the woman caught in adultery like this. Without condemnation, she could go forward and sin more.
