Go Trek Yourself

Darrell and J.K. respond to the announcement of Sonequa Martin-Green being cast as the lead of Star Trek: Discovery. As always we talk about our opinions on the news, review her past roles, speculate about the upcoming show, and discuss the choice as it relates to past Trek precedent.

Discussions include Star Trek VI:The Undiscovered Country, the relationship between captains and first officers in past Trek Shows, the veteran starring role actress/first-time starring role actress dynamic, imagining what a "2 ship show" might look like, Chekote in the 7 year "friend zone", and Captain Picard's muscle-y arms.
