On the 26th of January, 2022, Olympique Lyon of the French top-flight allegedly terminated the contract of one of their players for the most bizarre of reasons. Just recently, we witnessed the dramatic end to one of football's most controversial transfer sagas, as Kylian Mbappe finally signed a new contract to remain at PSG.  For most of the past one year, it looked pretty certain that he would move to Real Madrid. Even just a few days before he signed that contract, he had promised Madrid president Florentino Perez that he would move to the club.   But all that changed after a late dramatic twist, as Mbappe made a U-turn, opting to stay at PSG instead. This really annoyed Madrid, and they have since come out to express their displeasure.  And in this video, we talk about what PSG had to do to make him change his mind and stay at the club. We were all given a decent dose of shock over the weekend when Kylian Mbappe announced that he would be remaining at PSG despite virtually everything pointing towards him joining Real Madrid this summer. This has led us to look at some instances when players turned down offers from Real Madrid.
