The Super Copa, as it’s often referred to in Spain, saw a reform in 2019, which saw it undergo an expansion, going from being a 2-team tournament to a 4-team one. This reform also involved the exportation of the competition to Saudi Arabia. A deal worth 120 million euros was signed, and that deal was going to see the competition take place in Saudi Arabia for 3 years.
