Football is a religion, and football fans worship the players that are no less than Demi-Gods to them. In support, there are banners, flares, chants and much more which keep the team going, but sometimes things can get a little out of hand.

Oh, you think all footballers are like Cristiano Ronaldo who stays away from alcohol, soda, smoking, and certain foods? You’ll be shocked when you find out that there are myriads of players who just do not care that much.  Many footballers drink soda and alcohol whenever they like, eat whatever they like, and smoke whatever they like. Well, apart from banned substances, of course. And hey, we’re not even here to judge. We’re just here to see 10 famous footballers who smoke.  

We’re now into the holy month of Ramadan, and that means that Muslims all over the world will be fasting for the next twenty-something days. And you know what’s fascinating about this month-long fast? The world does not stop for those who take part. There are some things you expect to be banned at football stadiums. You know, knives, blades, of course, guns. Generally, stuff that can be used to harm the next person. That’s normal, isn’t it? But Messi is currently enjoying his best spell as a member of the Argentinian national team, winning an international trophy for the first time last year and helping the team go on a 30-match unbeaten run. The PSG forward himself said after the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela that he has been happy in the Argentina national team for some time now, even before the Copa America victory.    So, if he’s so happy there, could it be that the change he’s talking about may be happening elsewhere then? Maybe at club level.
