In football, Over the past year or two, you must have noticed players taking the knee just before kickoff in football games. And you also probably already know they do that in support of the fight against racism and discrimination. Of course, the English players took a knee before all of their games including the final in Wembley. Wales also did; Belgium, too.
But the rest of the national teams either did not take a knee at all throughout the tournament or did in only a few games. Understand the reason behind it, we know it is for racism, but do the teams that don't kneel don't know about racism?
We have seen Jesse Lingard on Manchester United's bench, and we have seen him at West ham getting the team to the top four spots in the Premier league. He is a player with potential and has a lot to offer. And just recently, Lingard revealed that he had a drinking problem or a habit of alcohol. He was so depressed without the game time at Manchester United that he was willing to leave the premier league altogether. Due to the heavy online criticism and abuse that is all so familiar to the modern-day footballer, Lingard didn't want to leave his house for fear of being recognized. It got so bad that he even considered a transfer to China or Saudi Arabia, far away from the spotlight and scrutiny.
But how did he bounce back at Westham and now the Red Devils want him back. How did this happen? How did Jesse Lingard prove all his doubters wrong and bounced back with the success at West Ham?
