Psalm 89 reminds us of one of the most comforting truths in all of Scripture: God keeps His word. Even after warning His people not to turn away from Him, God declares, “My lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him… My covenant will I not break.” Human beings are inconsistent, fragile, and often unfaithful, but God is not. What He promises, He fulfills. The psalm points specifically to God’s covenant with Israel, but the principle extends throughout Scripture. When God says He will save, forgive, guide, strengthen, or complete the work He began in us, we can trust Him completely. In a world full of uncertainty and broken promises, the faithfulness of God becomes a source of peace, confidence, and stability. No matter what season you are walking through today, remember this: God does what He says He will do.
