When Samuel was sent to anoint the next king of Israel, David wasn’t the obvious choice, he was young, small, and overlooked. But God reminded Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:7 that while man looks at the outward appearance, the Lord looks at the heart. God values integrity, humility, and surrender more than talent, status, or appearance. Just as He chose David, God sees what others cannot and chooses to use those who walk with character and a heart submitted to Him.
