Last week, we welcomed Pastor Peter Helm from Evergreen Community Church to God Rock as he shares his testimony and the power of God to transform lives.  

The scribes and Pharisees saw Jesus perform miracles time and time again, yet they still demanded Jesus to show them another sign. The scribes and Pharisees saw and did not believe. Jesus, who is greater than both Jonah and Solomon is here. How will you respond?

This week we dive into Matthew 12:33-37. Jesus teaches that the words that come out of our mouths, reveal what is inside our hearts. "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." 

This week we dive into Matthew 12:22-32 as we watch Jesus heal a demon-oppressed man and respond to the Pharisees' questioning of his authority in performing miraculous signs. 

In Matthew's account of Jesus in chapter 12:17-21, Matthew references Isaiah's prophecy in describing Jesus' characteristics. 

In Matthew 12:9-16, we see Jesus heal a man with a withered hand. When asked whether it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath, Jesus reponds "Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."

We continue our series in Matthew, this week diving into chapter 12:1-8. We look into an exchange between Jesus and the Pharisees, where at the end, Jesus declares that He is the the Lord of the Sabbath. We also have the great joy of celebrating 3 baptisms following the sermon.
