  • 033 // Rabbi sooooo much more than a teacher
Today’s episode is all about understanding that Jesus is so much more than a "teacher" and how the word "rabbi" means so much more than many have understood.  Looking at the scriptures there are plenty of references speaking of and to the disciples that makes more sense with this expanded understanding.
Some Bible references, these are not "all" verses but a few to consider and encourage thinking and prayer in what is being shared.
    Lk 8 : 45
    Lk 9 : 33
    Lk 9 : 49
    Jn 13 : 16
    Jn 15 : 15
    Jn 15 : 20
    Eph 6 : 9
    Col 4 : 1
    2Tim 2 : 21
    2Pe 2 : 1
    Ju 1 : 4
    Rev 6 : 10

  • 029 // Shalom - Peace I Give - Peace beyond understanding - Peace to you in Jesus name
Today’s episode is all about a Jesus kind of peace and not this world's.
Listen and be encouraged by expanding what the word "peace" in many places in the NT means, far more than the most common understanding of absence of conflict or war.
Shalom - a Hebrew word meaning peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility.  Inner completeness and tranquility, inward sense of completeness or wholeness, peace in all areas of life.

Apply this definition when you read the word peace in the following verses (NHEB)…
    Jn 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
    Jn 16:33
33 I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up. I have overcome the world."
    Phi 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Look through this list of verses in the NT.  How does this new understanding of the meaning of the word for peace help in context of some of the verses below?
    Mar 5: 34, Luk 1: 79, Luk 2: 14, Luk 2: 29, Luk 7: 50, Luk 8: 48, Luk 10: 5, Luk 19: 38, Luk 19: 42, Luk 24: 36, Joh 14: 27, Joh 16: 33, Joh 20: 19, Joh 20: 21, Joh 20: 26, Act 9: 31, Act 10: 36, Act 15: 33, Rom 1: 7, Rom 2: 10, Rom 3: 17, Rom 5: 1, Rom 8: 6, Rom 10: 15, Rom 14: 17, Rom 14: 19, Rom 15: 13, Rom 15: 33, Rom 16: 20, 1Co 1: 3, 1Co 7: 15, 1Co 14: 33, 1Co 16: 11, 2Co 1: 2, 2Co 13: 11, Gal 1: 3, Gal 5: 22, Gal 6: 16, Eph 1: 2, Eph 2: 14, Eph 2: 15, Eph 2: 17, Eph 4: 3, Eph 6: 15, Eph 6: 23, Phi 1: 2, Phi 4: 7, Phi 4: 9, Col 1: 2, Col 3: 15, 1Th 1: 1, 1Th 5: 3, 1Th 5: 23, 2Th 1: 2, 2Th 3: 16, 1Ti 1: 2, 2Ti 1: 2, 2Ti 2: 22, Ti 1: 4, Phm 1: 3, Heb 7: 2, Heb 11: 31, Heb 12: 14, Heb 13: 20, Jam 2: 16, Jam 3: 18, 1Pe 1: 2, 1Pe 3: 11, 1Pe 5: 14, 2Pe 1: 2, 2Pe 3: 14, 2Jo 1: 3, 3Jo 1: 14, Jud 1: 2, Rev 1: 4
