Jesus I want to have the life you want me to have.  I thank you for saving me.  I want you to be my Lord.  Lord of my whole life.

Heavenly Father, I want to go wherever you want me to, for however long you want me to be there, doing whatever you want me to and speaking whatever you make clear to me to say. so that Jesus is glorified in and through my life with your help. Father, please send your H S in me to lead and guide me as Jesus said.  Thank you and praise you in Jesus' Name I pray, amen.

Today’s episode is all about praying out loud and with more details. This is not about giving God more information about you or your situation, He knows everything already, He’s God.

Praying with more detail and emotion is about you knowing that you have approached your Father in heaven and are growing in intimacy.

Intimacy can be thought of as in-to-me-see.

Keys to this episode: (It’s me oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer…)

Pray whenever you need to, want to, like toOut loud

With thanksgiving and recognition of who your Father in Heaven is, God, who’s adopted you and loves you

With emotion

Share you cares, concerns, worries, and anything else along with your anxieties

Ask for whatever you need in Jesus’ name.

Use Mt 6:9-13 as a model prayer

My hope is also that as we see God more clearly, we can learn to consider ourselves and others through His love more clearly too.

 

What’s a person’s Christian age based on?

Can a person be more mature in one area of life than in others?

Who do we need to depend upon the most in understanding what we are accountable for in our walk with the Lord?

Some Things to consider and help you in your spiritual growth

1)     spiritual maturity level-checker, give your spiritual level as being H-high, M-medium, or L-low for the following areas of life.

personal, intimate relationship with your Father in heaven.

emotional

trust

Finances

tithes & offerings?

general provision?

saving?

health

food?

exercise?

re-creation?

2)     what are your spiritual gifts?

motivational? (Ro 12)

power filled? (1Cor 12, 13, 14)

3)     how is Jesus discipling you at this time or season in your life?

you and the HS?

in church

in a mentoring or discipling relationship

4)     your place in the body of Christ

where are you called to be?

are you there?

what are you being called to do?

5)     are you in regular Christian fellowship somewhere?

 

6)     do you have someone or group you can speak, share, and hear things of God with?

if yes, then praise the Lord

if no, then I pray the Lord establishes that for you soon.

Today’s episode is all about taking the steps to actually be forgiven and forgiving.

Key verses (NHEB):

MT 6:14  "For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Eph 4:32  And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Col 3:13  bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as the Lord forgave you, so you also do.

Lk 6:37  Do not judge, and you won't be judged. Do not condemn, and you won't be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Mt 18:21-22  Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how often can my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not tell you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Ps 86:5  For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.

Mk 11:25  Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your wrongdoing.

Ps 32:1  Happy are those whose transgressions are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Forgiveness – Application of the teaching

Next, I want to guide you in some prayer and pray for you in the next section.  Please read it before actually praying out loud.  If you agree with the prayer and are willing then please read it out loud with God's help.

 

A time of prayer to actually apply and receive forgiveness

[Prayer for yourself and life]

A Prayer to help growth, freedom and healing begin: 

Heavenly Father, I pray in Jesus' name that You would guide me in my prayer so that Your healing and restoration can begin in the areas You are exposing by this teaching.  Please bring to my memory anything I need to put into Your hands at this time.

[confession/repentance]

 I confess and acknowledge to You now any way I have taken part in mistreating your children, (take a moment and speak out any that He brings to mind.)  I confess and acknowledge to You any way/s I have mistreated myself , (take a moment and speak out any that He brings to mind.)  I now confess that there have been times that I wrongly ______, (others, myself...).  (Take a moment and speak out anything that He brings to mind.  Judged, condemned, criticized, wrongly accused, was unloving...)  I confess that this was sin, I repent and pray for help in turning away from all the ways that are not Yours.  Please help me to go Your way instead of any other.  

[forgiveness, receive]

Heaven Father I now come to You needing to be forgiven of _________, (take a moment and speak out anything that He brings to mind...any sin, any way/s that you have been judging others or yourself). Thank You for forgiving me.

Heavenly Father I come to You in Jesus' name and pray for Your blessings on my (brother or sister) and their life.  In Jesus' name I take authority over anything that has been allowed to take hold or have effect upon my sibling's life and say that your right which came from unforgiveness  is now gone because forgiveness has been given and received, so I command you in Jesus' name to release from my sibling and any area of their life you have been upon and g

Today’s episode is all about gaining a healthy understanding of what forgiveness is and is not, a consideration of our trust in God, and a primer to prepare you to give and receive forgiveness for yourself!

The first part of the Keys to Forgiveness gives you some homework that can provide a great way to identify if you have any needs in the area of forgiveness that may be brought into the light with this episode.  Please listen to episode 007 if you haven’t already or after this episode.
