After snapping at her son, husband, and an ugly cry, Shawna realized that she was not trusting God in an area of her life and it was coming out sideways on others. If you’ve been coming out sideways lately, it might be worth having a conversation with God about what’s really going on and let Him meet you there.
Perry talks about one of his favorite films, Air (really bad language), starring Matt Damon. It showcases the beauty of American culture and at the same time the fierce idolatry of our culture. The film asks a fundamental question: “Who are you?” While the film gets that wrong it points to the only solid answer to that question.
Does love have a fragrance? Shawna shares how when she smells her mom’s face cream it smells like unconditional love. As she was reading about Mary Magdalene pouring perfume on Jesus and all the events that happened after that….including his death and resurrection…would the fragrance she poured on him been a part of each of those events? If so, without a doubt, that’s the fragrance of love.
Ben needs to apologize to someone he treated disrespectfully. He admits, “I know I need to but right now I’m too proud and afraid to do it.” And last, the fiery trial you may be going through will be turned into a new song to bring hope to those facing their fiery trials.
