Instead of embracing the love God had for him, Peter compared God's love for him to the love God had for John.

Joseph clarifies that Peter's outcome could have been different if he had believed more in God's love for him, rather than allowing jealousy to consume him by questioning Jesus about John's fate. He believes that if Peter had been confident in God's love, he might have experienced a different outcome. While John drank from the same cup as Jesus and survived, that same cup ultimately led to Peter's death.

Joseph points out that the results of John's prophecy were different from Peter's, as John's revelation of God's love gave him the belief that nothing could harm him. This significant transformation in John, from being one of the Sons of Thunder to becoming the Apostle of Love, demonstrates how a revelation of God's love can profoundly impact our lives. John acted by the nature of God because God is love. Joseph concludes by reminding us that, "Precious in the eyes of God is the death of His saints" - Psalm 116:15.
