We see in Exodus 4:1-21, that God encourages and is with Moses despite his limitations, fear, weakness, and reluctance. Just as the Lord was with Moses, we can trust He will be with us. He delights to use His people to accomplish His work. Be encouraged to trust God in what He calls you to do knowing that He will strengthen you and help you.
Pastor Darrell preaches on Exodus 3:7-10 encouraging us to respond to the Lord's activity in our lives with trust and faith because He is the God who sees, hears, acts, calls, sends, and is with His people.
God is always at work in the world, in our lives, and in ways we can't expect...even when it doesn't seem like it. Be encouraged to live out an active faith in light of God's promises and truths as we begin a new sermon series on the book of Exodus and look at Exodus 1-2:10.
As we take a look at the last ten chapters of Genesis, we see that we can trust in and rest in the providence of God. We can see that in the life of Joseph and as we also consider Romans 8:28 and remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Guest preacher, Pastor Bill Meyers, preaches on being a radically ordinary Christ-follower from Acts 9: 26-31.
As we continue on in our journey through Genesis, we see that Joseph's journey was one that went from preference, to a premonition, to a plot, to a pit, to a palace, to a proposition, to a prison. God was at work, redeeming things that seemed to be hopeless in Joseph's family. He was with Joseph on every leg of his journey. Do you ever wonder if God can possibly redeem you, your situation, or someone you care about? Be encouraged by God's presence and redeeming work in Joseph's life journey.
God shows Himself to be consistently faithful and gracious to His people despite the deceitful and shameful behavior we see in Genesis 26-32, throughout the book of Genesis, and even in our own lives. This behavior doesn't disqualify us from the mercy of God. Our sin, guilt, and shame has been nailed to the cross of Christ. Be encouraged to worship our merciful God and give Him praise for His amazing grace.
The good news of Jesus Christ crucified, risen, and reigning is proclaimed on Easter morning.
Have you ever given up hope for something you've waited a long time for? Are you still waiting for something like that? Be encouraged as we consider that the Lord is the God who gives that which He promises. He is the giver of all that is good and every spiritual blessing. The long-awaited Promised One through Whom the world is blessed has come. He is a Forever King who rules over a forever kingdom of righteousness and peace that will never end.
Do you trust God no matter how hopeless your situation feels? We pray you'll be strengthened in that kind of trust in the Lord as Pastor Darrell takes us through Genesis 16 and 21. We will hear about the trouble of taking matters into one's own hands while waiting and about the God of the Bible who sees, hears, and cares.
