God’s Word And Daily Prayer For Today

Selfishness, it is one of the things in our lives that slow us down. But if we concern ourselves with helping others, it appears from the wisdom extracted here that doors of opportunity to help others as well have been placed in front of us. As we help others we bless ourselves. Solomon asked God for wisdom to be a blessing to God’s people.

Here we see David in the preamble to his death. He inaugurated Solomon, his son, to succeed him as king. However, David got all the people together to do his own eulogy. He told the people how gave all the glory and honor to God for his successes.

Here we learn that when life appears to be too much to bear and there is no hope of deliverance our God can turn things in our favor and prosper us. Wisdom here teaches us to never give up on God; no matter what the circumstances. Have faith in God and never let it waver; for our God who has chosen us promised that he would be with us always; even when we don’t recognize it.

we discover wisdom from this passage of scripture that helps us to know that when we inquire of God for things that we desire we should not be selfish in our request, but what we make request for is beneficial to others as well. Because the scripture teaches we will reap what we sow.

As King, David was so happy that he rejoiced before God for blessing him and his people with the return of the Ark of the Covenants God had declared unto his people. David’s wife, Saul’s daughter despised David for how he was dancing and thanking God in the presence of all the people.

This excerpt of biblical history teaches us that faith, wisdom, dedication, and commitment when seeking God in prayer can touch God to grant your requests. Maybe if we today would lend our children to God for His purposes maybe, just maybe, we can cut down on losing so many of them to the hands of Satan. Have faith in God and He will withhold no good thing from those that love Him and walk upright before Him.

This story epitomizes how God won’t leave you, if you won’t leave him. After taking away any hope of male covering, as the custom was at that time, God let Naomi live to see that she was not abandoned by Him; by giving her a male child (Obed)from her daughter-in-law Ruth, a Moabite, chosen by God, continuing the lineage through which our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ was given for humanity.
