COMMENT CLARIFICATION AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH REGARDING GOLIATH OF GATH: Goliath did not have four brothers who were giants. However, what he did have was one brother who seems to have been, as well as there being three other giants from his race, all of whom later fought for the Philistines and were defeated and destroyed by King David and his men. These other four giants were: (1) Ishbi-Benob, “the weight of whose bronze spear was three hundred shekels, who was bearing a new sword, [and] thought he could kill King David;” (2) Saph; (3) the brother of Goliath whose name is not given but “the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam;” plus, lastly, (4) the “man of great stature, who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot” - all of which we see well-reported in 2 Samuel 21:15-22.
