Churches of Christ are sometimes referred to as a "cult" or "cult-like" by some of their denominational friends, neighbors, and detractors - a term they would never use to describe us if they had any earthly idea whatsoever of what the word actually means; how long we've been referred to in similar fashion; and how much more the word "cult" actually describes them than us insofar as it's negative elements are concerned. Give a listen and see how to most positively handle the situation the next time someone refers to the Lord's church (congregations of which are called the churches of Christ in Scripture - Romans 16:16) which you are a member of, as a "cult," "cultish," or "cult-like."

We must stop refer to those today who have "stopped coming to church," as those who have simply "stopped coming to church" - oh yes! Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places that became theirs in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1)when they obeyed the gospel and were added by God to His Son's church (Acts 2:27-47), they have tragically surrendered and forfeited as a result - no matter what they may have deceived themselves into believing - when they left the Lord's church - EACH AND EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!

God's word shows us it is absolutely impossible to leave the assembly of God's people, and yet still take the Lord with you. Leave the body, leave the Head; leave the kingdom, leave the King; abandon His bride, abandon (and infuriate) the bridegroom! It's a "Package Deal!" It's all or nothing whether coming or going! Listen and see! Share it with those who need it!
